We need to have metal detectors at our school because I am concerned with school shootings. These metal detectors will help me to feel safe and ensure there aren't guns at the school. What Do you think?
That sounds like a good idea. It doesn't really bother me because I feel pretty safe in Cedar City. I don't think we have a huge gun problem here, but I guess with all the people moving from Vegas and Cali it's a good idea.
I highly doubt that someone in this school is going to go on a rampage and shoot people. But you might want to steer clear of those kids in trench coats. Remember Colombine...
That would be a good idea, but maybe a little extreme. We haven't really had trouble with shootings here, and metal detectors are probably really expensive. It might take away from other school funds in order to have some at this school.
Just because the school has metel detectors doesnt mean your safe from a shooting. If a kid wanted to shoot you I dont think he is worred about somebody noticing he has a gun.
I agree. Though I think we are safe now, it is always possible that some might bring a gun to school. Maybe if every school had metal detectors, maybe they would allow lockers.
